                            October 31st 2017
               Sema Las Vegas Convention Center

Jeff and Mary were invited by BASF to bring their 55 Buick Special convertible to display at this years show. Several car show celebs were roaming around and took a peek at the car with note of Chip Foose who saw the car earlier in the year in Oldsmar Fl, Richard Rawlings filmed a segment with the Buick as a backdrop for an upcoming Gas Monkey garage show and Heather Storm from Garage squad filmed a segment as she picked the 55 as her favorite to spotlight on Velocity Sema live. It was a neat and stressful experience at the same time. Think of a normal car show and times it by a thousand. Surprising how many non car people were their, from touching to closing the hood and opening the trunk and one girl sat in the trunk to take a selfie.

                           September 23rd 2017
              First Baptist Church Tampa Downtown

Four member families met for dinner at Duckies and three went on to the show. Attendance was low due to a line of storms just before the show start. They had food and door prizes. It is a family oriented show with lots of kids running around. Also when its threating rain always put up your convertible top up, ok Gary.

                            August 25th-27th 2017
                  Frog Follies Evansville Indiana

Three member families went on an over 2500 mile cruze in their street rods. First was a week in Branson Missouri then on to the Frog Follies in Evansville Indiana. Took mostly back roads and secondary highways which made for a stress less drive and scenic. Found a few non chain eateries one we found twice (heads up bread in the air). With no car issues it was great. The Frog Follies should be on your list of ones to do. A hilly country setting and pre 49 only. The weather was good too.
